Training Programme on Rural Journalism

Training Programme on Rural Journalism
Workshops on Reporting/ Writing on Rural Issues

We cannot avoid the fact that rural journalism is grossly neglected despite 700 million Indians who live in 600,000 villages across rural India. These rural journalists are not fully aware of their power and responsibilities. They lack proper knowledge about reporting and editing of rural stories. Therefore, there is an imbalanced flow of information in our country.

Continuing in our ongoing Rural Journalists Training programme, MICCI will organise four weeklong training programmes. The prime aim of the workshop is to provide basic skills like reporting, editing and writing stories among the rural as well as urban journalists so that they can use media for social development.
